Navy dot top- Work to weekend

I'm featuring a navy polka dot top for work to weekend looks. I used to almost exclusively wear this top for work, but decided to use it for some casual looks in my GYPO Spring Capsule.

3 Easy Ways to Wear a Fair Isle Sweater

Fair Isle sweaters seem to come back each winter. Fair Isle sweaters are fun to wear and can add a pop of color to your winter wardrobe. If you have yet to purchase one, now is a great time to add it to your closet, because many of them are on clearance.

Mustard print bell sleeve top

One of my Nordstrom Anniversary sale purchases was this mustard print bell sleeve top. I knew the material would be great for our warm falls. Fall has been a little slow coming so I just recently got a chance to wear it. Of course it's sold out now, but keep reading, I've linked up some cute options.

Casual Valentine's date night look

Tunic- TJMaxx  option  option  option
vest- Belk (old)  option  option   option
jeans- Levis  option  option
boots- Target (old)  option  option
bracelets- made by me  option
earrings- Kendra Scott

The hubby and I went out to dinner last Friday night. It was actually a meeting with another party about a  personal film project the hubby is involved in, but that didn't mean I couldn't semi-dress up. I think the material of this top and the vest make this outfit a little dressy but the jeans and booties keep the vibe casual. I love this burgundy color and think that this would make a great Valentine's date night look.

TGIF! What are your weekend plans?

Blush and grey

bootie- Nordstrom
necklace- Kendra Scott
bracelet- Rocksbox  option  option

I love the combination of blush and grey. I also think these burgundy booties really set this off. If you are thinking, now yesterday you showed us a blanket scarf and sweater and today it's a tank and loose knit cardigan, how odd?... well, this is how schizophrenic and manic our weather is. Both outfits were worn in the same week.

I'd like to have a dressier blouse in this blush color for work. If you know where I should look, please leave me a comment.

Fall floppy hat

Hat- Old Navy  option  option option
blouse- Pleione via TJMaxx  option  option
scarf- Tuesday Morning  option  option
jeans- Belk  option option
bracelet- gift  option
earrings- Limited  similar
booties- JCP  similar  option
I bought this hat last year and never wore it. I love the color. I'm guessing you've figured that out by now- the last few posts here and on Instagram have been with burgundy or olive. Those have been my go to colors so far this fall. I decided it was time to put this hat to use. I've decided after evacuating for Hurricane Matthew that it's time to put lots of things to use or get rid of them. What's the point of possessions that just lay around and serve no purpose?
Last year I pretty much wore this outfit in a work  version- tunic, grey trousers, scarf. It was fun to wear the blouse and scarf in a more casual look.

Almost forgotten

If you don't have a pair of grey jeans, I recommend you add them to your closet now. I've had mine for three or so years and have been slow to get them in my casual wear rotation, but they really are versatile. They pair well with lots of items. I wore this outfit out to dinner a few weeks ago. It was already dark when I got ready, so ...indoor pics. I almost forgot to post this one.

I took inspiration for this outfit from Allison's at GYPO suggestion.

Let's not forget our veterans. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

This wasn't  a Halloween outfit, just worn on October 31.  It was just the first chance I had to wear this scarf. And let me tell you about this scarf. This outfit is pretty much a total knock off of Megan's. I fell in love with the whole outfit when I saw it and promptly pinned it. I also pinned the exact scarf to my wish list board. And then I waited because it was too hot at the time for me to wear a scarf. I decided a couple of weeks ago that it was time to make the purchase and to my dismay, the scarf had SOLD.OUT. Nooooo... So I went on a frantic search and found this one on ebay. I'm pretty sure it's an exact match, there is just no brand tag on this one.

Oh and the hat... I've never been much of a hat person. At least not baseball caps. Even when I had long hair, I didn't like hats. I recently purchased a straw fedora on clearance and wore it on our vacation. The hubby liked it. So I thought I'd give this one a try. The hubby likes this one on me too, so I'll keep it. Never mind that it's one of the most popular items for fall.
