Happy Weekend! We are having a warm spring day today, after having some cold rainy days this week. These temps have me wanting to put fun shoes on my feet! The espadrille is the perfect spring shoe, whether you like traditional wedges or the trendy flatform.

I'm much happier with this top styled this way vs the first time around when I missed the mark on an all white look. This top is proving to be a very cool and comfortable piece in this ridiculous heat. And I'm getting lots of wear out of these wedges. Are you sick of seeing them? They are just too comfortable, and with a 2.5 inch height, they give a little lift but aren't too tall to wear all day and walk in.

Summer essentials- white jeans, or shorts, or crops if you live anywhere near me. It's gotten too hot for these jeans, unless I'm going to be indoors most of the time. Another summer essential should be the off shoulder or cold shoulder top. I think this trend will be around a couple of years at least. I first debuted this top with wide leg linen pants and now I'm pairing it with white jeans. I love the contrast of my darker blue wedge sandals. Add those the summer essential list- a good pair of espadrille wedges.

 

Currently I'm... playing? I'm "playing" catchup with my scrapbooks. I don't play video games or even board games all that often, but the college age kids in the Sunday School class we teach are totally into Pokémon Go. I'm in love with this faux knot tee. I love this color combination and this tee is super soft and comfy.  It's still on sale and there are several colors. I also love how comfortable these wedges are. I think this is the third time you've seen them now- #sorrynotsorry. These wedges may become my new go to or at least a close second to my beige wedges.

Saturday shopping- all things pineapple

I recently went to a local paint your own pottery shop here in town with my nieces while they were visiting. While there, I painted a wooden pineapple door hanger. Now I've got pineapple on the brain. It's been a trendy little print and graphic.

I couldn't help but feel like I was skipping a whole season or holiday when I got dressed in this Saturday for an outing. I mean, it's Easter week and we are supposed to be loading up on florals and pastels, but I skipped right to summer with stripes and anchors. I have no shame. This outfit was comfortable and fit my activities.

A chambray or denim top with bright colored shorts? Yes please. This was one of the GYPO Summer Challenge outfits (Day 16) and one of my favorites. I've always liked this denim top with bright colored shorts.  Need a dressier outfit? Pair a chambray button up with a bright colored skirt and add some heels. I bet the necklace would still work with that version too- it worked well with the blazer/work outfit featured yesterday.

 

Are you sick of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts? There must be something wrong with me because I have yet to see anything in any post or on site that I HAVE TO have. I'm not a cardholder so I'll have to wait until next week to purchase anyway. I'm not taking out another card just for this. But if I had to make some recommendations, or if money and closet space were unlimited I might pick up these items:

 

I'd get the earrings in emerald green and the split neck blouse in deep teal firework.
