It got cold for about half a day, so of course I rushed to wear the flannel, boots, and tights. I wore this to church the Sunday before Christmas. Green was my go to holiday color last week. I boycotted red. I have a love hate relationship with red. I digress. Back to the outfit- I really liked it even though I'm clashing the green/navy plaid with a black stripe. For some reason, my closet didn't seem to have the perfect shirt for this outfit, so I went with what I had. As much as I liked this, I was sweating by the time I got home. The cold front was short lived and it's been in the high 70s to 80s since. Yep, we're at day 9 of continuous hot weather in December.

Shades of grey

Grey is going to be very trendy this fall and that's okay with me. I've always loved grey as a neutral and grey dress pants are a work horse in my work wardrobe. On the casual side, I created this outfit with a skirt that I bought a couple of months back on sale ( I had wished for it since last year) and a grey stripe shirt I found while thrifting. With booties, it was the perfect fall outfit. The tee is a tissue tee so it's not too thick but the sleeves still knock off the early evening chill.

I almost talked myself out of getting the tee. I have a drawer full of long sleeve tees that rarely get worn. But... it was grey- check, stripes- check, JCREW- check and $4. I quickly talked myself back into getting it.
