5 More fall trends to try
Happy Friday and First Day of Fall! It's going to be in the high 80's again, so I don't think mother nature read the calendar. Nonetheless, I can still find ways to incorporate fall trends into my wardrobe. Did you catch my previous 5 fall trends to try post? Here are five more:

You stud you- Saturday Shopping
I first noticed studded items when these Sam Edelman bow flats caught my eye during the Nsale. Mind you, this isn't really a new trend. I had a few studded items 20-25 year ago. When you get old enough, you realize fashion trends just recycle. I digress. I don't see this trend exploding for fall, but it is around and it's nice to have a couple of pieces to add some "edge" to a look now and then, so I rounded up over 20 studded items for your Saturday shopping, most under $100.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks
Happy Saturday! Will you be going out to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Or have you already exhausted yourself shopping the last two days?
Here are some of my picks from the sale- some basics, some wear now, a few wear later items. (Keep reading for my thoughts on what to buy and what to wait out.)

Brought to life
Sleeveless sweater- JCrew Factory option
bracelet- Charmed Stacks
nails- Adesse NY
eyes- Smashbox
lips- Bobbi Brown brownie
This outfit is pretty much one of my Nsale outfit ideas brought to life. I wasn't able to snag the sweater during the Nsale but a little later I was able to get this one from JCrew Factory for less. Sometimes it pays to let it go and wait. I'm still waiting to be able to wear another one of the Nsale ideas because it's still too hot. The temps are back up in the high 80s now. Oh fall, where did thou go?
One of those second outfit ideas features a blanket scarf. Speaking of blanket scarves, have you checked out ilymix? You can get 20% off any order with code SAVVYSOUTHERNCHIC20.
Hope you had a Happy Halloween and aren't on too much of a sugar rush or crash right now.

All things fall
tee- Old Navy
necklace- Rocksbox
Denim, utility vest, grey tee, booties, leopard- those are all things fall for me. Scarves, sweaters and tall boots are "fantasy fall" where I live and sometimes even "fantasy winter" lol. So for my fall weather, I keep the layers light and the colors neutral to fall colored. I love these peep toe booties and have been on the hunt for a similar pair in black to add to my collection, maybe with a lower heel.
Thank goodness it's Friday! Who would have ever thought I'd say that on a week of vacation? It's our anniversary but instead of our usual vacation, we've spent the week cleaning up after Hermine and Matthew, those naughty boys. As I type, I'm waiting for the carpet installers to show up and install carpet. Then we can move furniture back into that room and hopefully by the end of the weekend the house will be back to normal and clutter free.

Fall floppy hat
bracelet- gift option
earrings- Limited similar
I bought this hat last year and never wore it. I love the color. I'm guessing you've figured that out by now- the last few posts here and on Instagram have been with burgundy or olive. Those have been my go to colors so far this fall. I decided it was time to put this hat to use. I've decided after evacuating for Hurricane Matthew that it's time to put lots of things to use or get rid of them. What's the point of possessions that just lay around and serve no purpose?
Last year I pretty much wore this outfit in a work version- tunic, grey trousers, scarf. It was fun to wear the blouse and scarf in a more casual look.

Camo and bling
jeans- Loft
rings- old
I never wear this tee but I decided to give camo and bling a try. I mean, camo does have one of my favorite fall colors- olive. I doubt this will be on repeat, but it's fun to mix it up once in a while.

Basics and neutrals for fall
skirt- JCrew Factory option
necklace- Rocksbox option
bracelet- Kendra Scott option
Yes, I'm calling this basics and neutrals because leopard is a neutral. I love it year round but gravitate towards it more in the fall. And a grey tee is a great basic to have, especially for my fall, not "Fantasy Fall" as Caroline from Un-Fancy would say. We don't all have the boots, sweaters, scarves kind of fall (heck I don't get too much of that in winter) so we have to dress for the fall we have. Looks like mine is going to start out in the high 80's or 90s. This tee is perfect. It's the linen blend tee from Old Navy and has great drape and shape, loose but not sloppy. I want one in every color. As for the skirt, get used to it. I'm sure you will see it a lot. I can think of three more outfits off the top of my head without even going to my closet.
I'm getting as much wear out of this necklace as I can. It's a Rocksbox exclusive (Try out Rocksbox for a month free with code FONDABFF). I will eventually be returning it because it's a bit out of my price range but I love it.
