Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try on session

Hello there! Yes it's another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post. I promise I'll back off after this, but the sale will open to the public tomorrow and this might help you in your decisions if you have yet to start shopping.  I love these kinds of posts from other bloggers because I like to see items on real people, not models. So I decided to share my own try on session from my orders with you. My apologies for the bad lighting. Our bedroom is very dark and the hubby wants it that way for sleep. I personally cannot see a thing in there and I don't know how I make it out of the house some days with anything on that coordinates. I also don't really have a full length mirror, just the mirrored doors on my antique wardrobe. And I'm not very good at mirror selfies.... so... keeping it very real.

The first things to arrive were the Halogen scallop edge sweater  and the Bp vneck pullover. I ordered in both regular and petite sizes and couldn't make either work in this scallop sweater. It's one of those on me that just rolls and creates rolls and you can also see the waist band of your pants through it. All of that is just yuck to me. Some bloggers seemed to like this piece. I think if you are more slender and have a longer torso than me, it might work. Don't fret about it being sold out. Mine is on it's way back to inventory.

The BP vneck sweater is super soft, but that's the only thing I liked about it. The website does say runs large and it's supposed to be slouchy, but it was too slouchy and the vneck is too low for me. RETURNED.

Next is the iconic Lush tunic. This is my first time trying this piece. A medium fits but the vneck is really low and I will need a cami under it. I love the blue fog color and it's doesn't appear that it's part of the Anniversary sale now, but still on sale at the same price. Right now I'm UNDECIDED on this piece.

Halogen V-neck top - I seem to have a thing for tops with backs like this. I have two others with similar cuts in the back. I have no complaints about this top. It's perfect for work. I just have so many and would probably get bored with the pattern after a while. It is a boxy cut and the petite small fit me, but the regular small was more comfortable at the arms. At the moment I'm UNDECIDED. (Excuse the hair and no make up- I was getting ready for work when I tried it on.)

I love this Bobeau ruffle sleeve dress. I tried it on with the chucks just for fun. It could be dressed up or down. I am wearing a medium but it's really too snug on my bottom and a large would just be too big up top. So, curvy girls beware, this dress probably won't hang right on you. RETURNED.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Knit Low Top- IN LOVE. They do run big, go down a half size as recommended on the site.

Band of Gypsies Faux Wrap Maxi Dress I had high hopes for this as I've been looking for a floral flowy  maxi dress to finish out the summer in. I did most of my shopping on a wear now focus and in anticipation that we will have a very warm fall again. (We usually do.) This dress is gorgeous! BUT... too low of a vneck and the bottom is more "wrap dress" than faux wrap and one gust of wind and all will be exposed. RETURNED.

Bobeua Ruffle top-  wearing a small and IN LOVE. At least one of my wishes worked out well. It will pair nicely with olive or burgundy jeans and you may see me wearing it with shorts or a skirt now.

Articles of Society Mya Skinny Jeans  They are everything everyone has bragged they are! They are super soft and are mid-rise to fit a curvy girl like me. The down side is these are a 31 inch inseam, and not an ankle jean, so I would have to roll them up or let them bunch. I really want a pair of  skinny jeans I don't have to roll up (short girl problems). I still waiting on another brand of jeans to arrive before I decide.

Vince Camuto Block Heel bootie too tight and uncomfortable across the top of my foot. I really want to add black peep toe booties to my collection, but even it these had fit, I would have probably been looking for a less expensive pair since I can't wear these to work.RETURNED.  Here's a less expensive option, and another option.

Bobeau split ruffle sleeve top- in mustard wearing a small, love it. I've stayed away from the trendy sleeves because I don't see me wearing them to work, but I really like this blouse.Maybe I could wear it with a pencil skirt?  Now to decide between this one and the black floral or both. Pictured with the Madewell Coliseum pendant and the Crescent Hoop earrings, currently sold out but if budget were not an issue, I'd probably get these too.

Wearing the Black floral Bobeau ruffle sleeve top with Kendra Scott Rae Long filigree pendant. If you are a KS fan, don't miss this deal!

I'm also wearing the Franco Sarto block heel sandal which I could probably pull off at the office and they look good with jeans. These may sub and fulfill my wish for peep toe booties. Better cost per wear value to me than the VC booties.

Halogen scallop tank- a fun wear now piece! Petite fit a little better in the body but I'm keeping this in regular small so the back with meet my waistband and not show as much skin.

Whew! That's a lot of stuff. Some more things I ordered and didn't even photograph were the Caslon plaid/floral tunic- a cotton wear now piece, and great for warmer climates but I just didn't like it., and the BP tie front blouse everyone is blogging about- I couldn't make it tie without it leaving a  hole that exposes my belly, a huge no for work.

Thanks for sticking with this. Hope you found something helpful here!
